Our Story

Sterling Twisselman’s entry into the solar industry was born out of a challenge—and a drive to innovate. Fresh out of Cal Poly with a background in engineering and a deep respect for the land he grew up on, Sterling was approached by a solar panel manufacturer and O&M firm struggling to find an efficient solution for large-scale panel cleaning. With no off-the-shelf machinery capable of meeting utility-scale needs, Sterling got to work designing his own. What began as a one-off prototype quickly evolved into a fleet of specialized machines, each tailored to different climates, terrains, and system types. His hands-on approach, mechanical ingenuity, and commitment to clean energy laid the foundation for Clean Energy Advantage, now one of the largest and most trusted solar cleaning providers in the country.
