About CEA

Engineered for Scale. Proven in the Field.

Our Story

Clean Energy Advantage was born from a challenge—and a drive to innovate.

Fresh out of Cal Poly with a background in engineering and a deep respect for the land he grew up on, Sterling Twisselman was approached by a solar panel manufacturer and O&M firm struggling to find an efficient solution for large-scale solar panel cleaning. At the time, no off-the-shelf equipment existed that could safely or effectively meet the demands of utility-scale sites.

So Sterling built his own.

What began as a single prototype quickly evolved into a fleet of specialized machines, each engineered to perform in different climates, terrains, and system configurations. Sterling’s hands-on approach, mechanical ingenuity, and commitment to clean energy laid the foundation for Clean Energy Advantage—now one of the largest and most trusted solar cleaning providers in the country.
